Canoe in the most beautiful part of Florida, the Santa Fe Canoe Outpost offers a wide variety of paddling excursions on the Santa Fe, Ichetucknee, and Suwannee Rivers.

As you float lazily downstream, you will experience river banks choked with pines, cypress, oaks, and other hardwoods. An abundance of wildlife can be sighted year round, including several species of turtles, birds and fish. In addition, on special occasions, beaver, otter, deer, wild boar, and, of course, our old friend the alligator.

Perhaps the most spectacular gift that nature has bestowed upon this area are the crystal clear springs that punctuate our rivers. With a year round temperature of 72 degrees Fahrenheit, these springs are ideal for diving, snorkeling and swimming. Float down to Ginnie Springs. The springs also provide opportunities for hiking, picnicking and biking. So, if you want to experience nature at its finest, the Santa Fe Canoe Outpost welcomes you to the "Real Florida".

Take the High Springs exit, Hwy 441 off of Interstate 75. We're located at the Santa Fe River Bridge. Call and arrange for an excursion, experience a full moon canoe ride. For more complete driving directions, click here.

Children Under 12 are Free

Trip 1 Outpost to River Rise. 6 miles, approximately 3 hours paddling time.
$14.00 per person. $28.00 minimum per canoe. Kayak - $24.00.

Trip 2 Outpost to Hwy 27 Bridge. 3 miles, approximately 1.5 hours paddling time.
$16.00 per person. $30.00 minimum per canoe. Kayak - $26.00.

Trip 3 Outpost to Poe Springs. 5 miles, approx. 2 hours paddling time.
$20.00 per person, minimum $38.00 per canoe, Poe Springs entrance fee extra. Kayak - $31.00.

Trip 4 Outpost to Rum Island. 7 miles, approx. 3 hours paddling time.
$18.00 per person, minimum $36.00 per canoe. Kayak - $31.00.

Trip 5 Outpost to Ginnie Springs. 8.5 miles, approx. 3.5 hours paddling time.
$30.00 per person, minimum charge of $60 per canoe which includes Ginnie Springs entrance fee. Kayak - $35.00.

Trip 6 Outpost to Highway 47 Bridge. 15 miles, approx. 5 hours paddling time.
$20.00 per person. $40.00 per canoe minimum.  Kayak - $35.00.

Trip 7 Head Springs to Ichetucknee Springs State Park to 27 Bridge. 4 miles, approx. 2 hours paddling time.
$20.00 per person. $40.00 minimum per canoe.
Continue to 129 Bridge 13 miles, approx. 4 hours paddling time.
$22.50 per canoe. $45.00 minimum per canoe. $4.25 park entrance fee.  Kayak - $35.00 or $40.00.

Overnight Trips

Trip 8 Full Moon Tour. Once per month. spectacular and romantic; guided tour of river by moonlight.
$22.00 per person. $44.00 per canoe minimum. Kayaks $27.00. Reservations a must.

Trip 9 Outpost to Oasis Ramp. 19 miles, 7 hours paddling time. 

Trip 10 2 to 3 day rental, Outpost to 129 Bridge. 26 miles, 9-10 hours paddling time.

Trip 11 3 to 4 day rental, Outpost to Rock Bluff Bridge (S.R. 340) 2to 3 days on Santa Fe, 1 day on Suwannee River. 39 Miles.

Completely Outfitted: $65 per person, additional days $25 per person.

Canoes Only: $40 per day, plus destination charge.
